Just Trying to Get Ahead

Although writing a blog is different in many ways to being an entrepreneur, I thought that I could steal a page or two from The Lean Startup.  The Lean Startup movement, written and popularized by Eric Ries, is focused on using validated learning to iterate through the Build – Measure – Learn feedback loop.  Get something to market quickly, determine and track those metrics that REALLY matter, and take the feedback from that learning process back into the next iteration.  If you’re a product manager in software – you should read this book.

From a blogging perspective, I thought it sounded relevant.  I  could go and buy a premium blogging template, get some graphic design done for a fancy title and header, incorporate some background imagery, buy some royalty-free photos, and write a bunch of posts hoping that they resonate with readers.  Or, I could do the minimum (Minimum Viable…
